Twinkle from my new forthcoming album, Wanderlust wishing well is released!
Here's the first single entitled, Twinkle off my soon to be released second solo record entitled, Wanderlust Wishing Well.
As of February 2, you can stream on SoundCloud and Bandcamp.
I travelled to Los Angeles to record and self-produce my album with my friend, Fernando Perdomo who produces many including Linda Perhacs and is lead guitarist in Jakob Dylan’s project Echo in the Canyon (my drummer Matt is also the drummer in Echo in the Canyon). Twinkle is the sole track on the album that Fernando produced and I co-produced with him.
I met Fernando in 2008 when I was flown down to Miami to record a demo with some people who were techs for Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band. At my friend Jo’s Springsteen photo exhibit at Art Basel Miami, Fernando spotted me and based on my shoes, he said that I must be a musician. In my opinion and many others, Fernando is a prodigy in music, both in musical performance and in the studio. We kept in touch and collaborated on one of his projects and I knew that one day I’d record an album with him. So in June 2014 and again in 2015, I flew to California to record with him at Reseda Ranch Studios. In my free time, I visited with friends, enjoyed some great California healthy cuisine and went surfing of course! I wound up flying to LA a few times, since I was involved with the making of music videos for a project with members of Pink Floyd and Genesis. This allowed me extra time to steep and craft the album at Reseda Ranch Studios and Winslow Court Studios, which is the worlds oldest sound studio once owned by Liberace. And yes, I used its original foley stage!
Another cool thing that I’m excited to make mention is that on Valentine’s I officially become a published writer. I was approached along with 100 women in indie music globally to take part writing a book by 5 time Grammy Award winning producer, Devine Evans entitled, Sheet Music: The Diary of a Songwriter.
Anyway, I'm really hoping that you will enjoy Twinkle which is just one music flavour from a variety of what’s to come on my second album which is a blend of upbeat songs, a few dreamy ones, some jazzy and sultry ones, other worldly, circus vibes and more with a cinematic twist with some phenomenal surprise guests! :D And if you listen at the end of Twinkle, you will hear the gang vocals who are the voices of all who are on the upcoming album with me.
Thanks for spending time with this creation.

There’s a twinkle in your eye
like no other I have seen
and it sparkles like the bright stars in the sky
Every time I look into those pools it feels just like a dream
and these past few days I feel much more alive
Yet I wonder with you being so
do you feel the way that I’m feeling now?
I want you in the daytime, in the night time, in the morning time I do!
How naughty, hot totty tea.
My heart has skipped, I want to flee.
South like a bird, toward your every word!
Deep windows that attract suns love
like glitter sprinkled on my skin so smooth
At times I want you here with me
Into my hearts apartment you may move.
Yet I wonder with you being so
do you feel the way that I’m feeling now?
I want you in the daytime, in the night time, in the morning time I do!
How naughty, hot totty tea.
My heart has skipped, I want to flee.
South like a bird, toward your every word!
(saxophone and trumpet solo with horns and birds chirping)
Yet I wonder with you being so
do you feel the way that I’m feeling now?
I want you in the daytime, in the night time, in the morning time I do!
How naughty, hot totty tea.
My heart has skipped, I want to flee.
South like a bird, toward your every word!
whole band starts to sing along:
I want you in the daytime, in the night time, in the morning time I do!
How naughty, hot totty tea.
My heart has skipped, I want to flee.
